ReachOut Campaigns Overview

Setting up ReachOut Campaigns means defining the who, what, where, when, and why of your in-application message. First you determine the creative elements: is it going to be inline in your branded look and feel, or a pop-up message that grabs the user's attention? Then you give it a name and determine how long it will run. Lastly, you set up the targeting based on the user profile you want to reach based on Product Environment, Product Usage and even previous messages received. No matter which team in your organization is leveraging in-app messaging from Product and Development to Marketing and Sales, you can use ReachOut campaigns to help achieve your business goals.

Out-of-the-box Automatic Campaigns

Once you enable ReachOut when integrating the Usage Intelligence SDK, there are no development resources needed to launch an Automatic Campaign. Automatic Campaigns can be easily generated by anyone on your team via an online wizard. These campaigns launch in a standard HTML pop-up window, and can deliver valuable information to end users either through a web page or an image creative.

Custom message experience with Manual Campaigns

If you want total control over how your in-application messages will be stylized and where they will be displayed in your application, Manual Campaigns are for you. The messages are entered into ReachOut as plain text and code is written and integrated into the software application to receive and format the message for display to end users. Once the styling and framework is established anyone on your team can easily leverage Manual Campaigns through a similar user interface as Automatic Campaigns without any additional coding or development help.

Hybrid and sequential campaigns

Manual and Automatic Campaign types are typically run simultaneously in the same application to deliver the message in the most appropriate style for the use case. With ReachOut Campaign Delivery targeting you can set up your messages to run in a sequence as part of a drip or nuture campaign intermingling both types of campaigns to present your messages in different formats.

Managing campaigns for performance

Within Usage Intelligence, you can easily monitor, manage, and review the all ReachOut campaigns in one dashboard. Check out top level campaign status information, such as delivery counts, and run dates. Or quickly take campaign-specific actions such as toggling activation, making edits, or cloning campaigns for quick replication or delete a campaign you no longer need.

Campaign reporting and optimization

From the moment your campaign launches, you can track the delivery of messages in real time in your campaign details screen. You can view any data range to see the trends in message delivery as well as view the key delivery metrics around sent or pending messages.
