Trackerbird SDK Version 2.0 released

September 25, 2012

We are excited to announce the release of Version 2.0 of the Trackerbird Software Analytics SDK. This release brings about several updates over the previous versions including: support for Event Tracking, Feature and Event Timing, Tracking of custom application metrics and increased quotas for tracked Features and Events.

  • Event Tracking: Apart from tracking usage of a few selected features, using the new SDK you can now track a larger number of events that occur in your application through the new App.EventTrack() API.
  • Feature and Event Timing: Apart from tracking only the number of times users make use of particular feature or UI within your application, you can now also record custom metrics for every feature/event that is being tracked. Typical usage would be to record the duration that a user spent in a particular window/wizard or how long they spent interacting with a particular feature/UI or else simply how long it took your application to finish a particular process. You may also use this functionality to track the file sizes processed by your application or the amount of memory consumed by a particular process.
  • Increased Quotas for tracked Features and Events: Starting from 01 October 2012, ALL premium subscription plans come with the ability to track up to 100 different features/events at no extra charge. This drastic increase in quotas will enable you to track even better how customers are engaging with your application.
  • New Reports: We have added new Runtime Intelligence reports which are directly related to feature tracking and event timing so that you can get the most out of our new SDK.
