Welcome back to the latest Top 10 Most Pirated Applications. Another week, another dive into the depths of the world of the top desktop software torrents.

This week we have a list full of new names and big releases. Adobe is at the top for the second time with a release of its Acrobat Pro product, the first of two PDF related products this week. The other is ABBYY’s PDF Transformer product, a significant competitor to Acrobat. Also among the trusted release groups this week is Mumbai TPB with a fully cracked Parallels Desktop release. This product is very popular among Apple enthusiasts and I expect this will not be the last time we see it on the list.

Continuing down the list we see Wondershare’s Video Editor product, a popular editor for consumer users. This is the first time that this has appeared on the Top 10 list though we often see it hovering just outside the list. Another newcomer is Maxon’s Cinema 4D product, a high end 3D art product. This is a very important release as it’s the most recent revision and has been posted by the well-trusted ChingLiu. Rounding out the bottom of the top ten is WinRAR 5.11. While it may be at the bottom of the list, it’s only because the swarm size has shrunk after a full 6 days on the open market.

While this week has been full of newcomers to the Top 10 it’s important to note that all of these products have had releases in the past. Due to the nature of the piracy underworld many of them never make it to the top ten, even if they’re widespread and have been downloaded thousands of times. With the fall semester starting at many universities we expect to see a renewed interest in student applications and can’t wait to assess the changing trends as more users exploit the torrent community for cracked software.
